A common question I see people asking very frequently is, do free backlinks really work? By free backlinks I mean link produced from tools like the Web Stats Backlinker The answer is YES, they work, for a short time at least. Here is a short study I made to test it.
I have a small website that recieves around 15-20 visitors per day. You can see it on the screenshot bellow it got 14 visitors on November 22.
On that they I ran the backlinker for that domain. After that you can see an spike in traffic for the next three days. On November 25 it got 26 visitors.
As a result of this I got some extra adsense revenue, $2.97 for that day.
Notice that this is really just a spike in traffic, after a few days it will go down to normal levels again. But you can always repeat the process a few days later to get the same traffic spike.
